A plenary session of the confessional council and His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql Sheikh Naeem Hasan announces the date for the election of a new Sheikh Al-Aql

The confessional council of the Druze monotheistic community convened in an ordinary session of its general assembly chaired by His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql, Sheikh Naeem Hasan, in the presence of the Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, Representatives Anwar Al-Khalil, Hadi Abu Al-Hosn, resigned MP Marwan Hamadeh, members of the Board of Directors, and members of the General Authority.
His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql: Speaking at the beginning of the session, His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql said, "It is a time of major transformations. Lebanon is in the middle of the storm. The policy of obstruction and the lust for dominance has led and is currently leading to the collapse of the state and its components at all levels. Difficulties are accumulating and increasing day by day. The darkness is becoming darker. It is becoming useless to speak about the imminent dangers. What works is the strength of the heart, the spirit of faith, and the will of known chivalry. What works is clinging to the choice of goodness, moderation and temperance. What is certain is that the hand of God is with the group, when cooperation, collaboration, and the race to do good deeds in the service of people becomes the most noble and honorable act. This is what his Excellency Mr. Walid Bayk Jumblatt is doing today, and he has our support and prayers, as we must all be united.
He added, "Confidence in the mind has no limits, and it is considered equivalent to firm belief which lives in the hearts. The mind is what saves man from the temptation of vanity and falling into the abyss of vice. No vice is greater than injustice and tyranny and the deification of personal interest at the expense of the homeland, people and the fate of a nation! We must be guided by a sound mind! It is the path to humanity, and it is a path paved with the spirit of justice, efficiency, dialogue, participation, sincerity and respect for the word, i.e. the constitution and the law.
After the speech, and in compliance with the provisions of the Law Regulating the Affairs of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql announced the appointment of a session for the election of a new Sheikh Al-Aql for the sect on 30/09/2021.
