The meeting of the advisory body in the presence of his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql Sheikh Naeem Hasan

The Advisory Board of the of the office of Sheikh Al-Aql held a meeting attended by his Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan and the members Sheikh Abu Mahmoud Saeed Faraj, Sheikh Suleiman Shuja’, Sheikh Hasan Maher, Sheikh Naseeb Madi, at the shrine of Prince Sayyid Abdullah Al-Tanoukhi in Abey.
The meeting included a discussion of the religious affairs as well as of the general issues related to the conditions of the sect and its members. Following the meeting, the advisory body issued the following statement:
The advisory body stresses the need for everyone in the sect, as well as in the whole country, to uphold the word of truth, the voice of reason and the logic of wisdom, in cooperation, solidarity and harmony, in preparation for confronting the upcoming challenges and exacerbating crises, extending the hand of partnership between the members of the sect, and between them and their partners in the country to prevent the dangers ahead.
The Commission rejects and denounces any abuse the office of his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql would be exposed to, which represents a basic spiritual reference point for the Druze community, and the only official reference point, calling for reconciliation, solidarity and harmony for the good of the society.
The commission expressed its appreciation to the tour that his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql undertook, which included Dar Al Fatwa, the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council and the Maronite Patriarchate, which came at a delicate stage that raises the alarm against national division; his Eminence’s initiative represented a message of against conflict and discord and instead convey the spirit of national interest promote the language of dialogue to protect Lebanon and save it.
Additionally, the advisory body emphasized the utmost importance of preventing the spread
of the pandemic, and warned against any personal health disregard for this matter, and urged everyone to fully adhere to safety and preventive measures, stressing that this is considered a religious commitment on the basis of preserving the community and to ward off any harm.
