A statement issued by the office of his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql and the sectarian council of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid)

Our dear brothers and families,
In light of the global warnings and the frequency of official information issued by the highest health authorities regarding the increased risks of the Corona Virus (Covid-19) and the ease and speed of its transmission of infection, it is imperative to initiate our duties regarding prevention and proper avoidance, as required by the rules of conservation and safety.
Therefore,
The office of his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql and the doctrinal council of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), would like to address the honorable members of our sect with some alerts and warnings. These are accompanied with the warmest wishes for our people and our country along with safety from all health epidemics and other threats to our society, hoping that these directives are taken into consideration and attention, in addition to seeking the grace of God Almighty, who is the ultimate Supporter.
Please pay close attention to the following:
Please take the official guidelines very seriously, and adopt the methods of prevention announced by the specialists, especially with regard to the necessary measures published in the case of showing symptoms. This is considered a kind of due caution that does not contradict with faith, contentment and extradition, but rather is a human moral ethical duty at the core towards our families and our society.
The principle of prevention is considered nowadays a duty for every reasonably responsible person through his activities and daily work. In the current circumstances, it is necessary to override some social customs such as hand shaking during social occasions of sadness and joy, and in other social occasions. The people should be content with remote welcoming through their hearts and their eyes "reconciliation welcoming", which ensures protection and safety through avoiding causing or getting affected by any transmission of possible Virus infections, and nothing in this matter would spoil the respect and friendship between people, the community and families.
His Eminence’s office and the doctrinal assembly hope that everyone takes this warning seriously, responsively and cooperatively.
