His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql, Sheikh Naeem Hasan met with the UNIFIL Commander and the Progressive Party’s secretary

His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met in the Community House in Beirut today, the Commander-in-Chief of the United Nations Forces in South Lebanon (UNIFIL) General Stefano Del Col, accompanied by the spokesperson of the forces Andrea Tenenti and a number of officials, in the presence of his Eminence’ advisor Sheikh Ghassan Al-Halabi .
During the meeting, the general situation in Lebanon was reviewed, especially with regard to the South region and the Blue Border Line, where his Eminence was presented with a brief by the Commander of the United Nations Forces on the general developments, especially in relation to what was raised as outstanding points of the border line and the mission of the United Nations forces in this regard.
In this context, Sheikh Al-Aql praised "the efforts made by the United Nations forces led by General Del Col to maintain peace in the region of southern Lebanon, and the endeavors for general stability that it is carrying out, as well as the services it provides to the people of the south."
His Eminence also met the secretary of the Progressive Socialist Party in Beirut Basil al-Oud, and a number of topics related to the city were presented.
