His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, raised an alert about the "sensitivity of the stage that Lebanon is currently going through, which requires everyone to bear national and moral responsibility against any delay in devising possible solutions to overcome this ordeal, and in prioritizing the supreme interest of the countryabove all immediate and political gains." And to do so through the required sacrificesfor removing obstacles to the formation of a rescue government that restores confidence to the nation and its people and limits the downfall of the economic and financial sectors which impacted the livelihood of poor families. "
His Eminence met today at Community House - Verdun, member of the Development and Liberation Bloc MP Anwar Al-Khalil, who informed his Eminence of the current national situation and the ongoing political contacts in this regard.
He also met a human rights and media delegation, which put his Eminence in the picture of the movement it is initiating towards the leaders and spiritual authorities to highlight what they called "the arrests that are taking place against peaceful demonstrators and their durations,to representa shameful violation of all laws and regulations, which is documented by a set of images and statistics that were shown to his Eminence," asking him to "raise the voice to stop actions against humanity, and the practice of justice between the aggressor and the victim. "
His Eminence expressed before the delegation "his regret for what some of the country's affairs are becoming," stressing the need to respect the country’s human values and its citizens, especially the young people who are demanding their rights and striving for a state that sponsors them -within the peaceful and legal frameworks, in order to prevent the deficit of trust between those in charge and citizens.
His Eminence also received businessman Majed Abu Matardisplaying with him issues related to the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), and his Eminence met as well Dr. Wael Karama.
