In order to clarify the false news circulated about a number of religious books belonging to the Druze sect, we would like to list the following to prevent any confusing interpretation or incitement:
The General Security has thankfully confiscated several religious books that are prohibited for transport and trade, which were sent for export before obtaining prior permission from the official authority of his Eminence’s office which is the official authority responsible for validation of all books and publications which have a religious nature. In this context, General Security has contacted his Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan, who found that these books did not obtain the required permission, and the General Security has shown full cooperation, understanding and keenness to address this issue within the legal frameworks, and we firmly assert that the issue of burning was not discussed completely, and therefore clarification was required.
On this occasion, his Eminence Office expresses its gratitude to the Director of the General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, for his efforts in maintaining security in general as well as the role of his apparatus in controlling the violators of the laws and their keenness to respect religious principles.
