His Eminence welcomed the delegation at the Community House and praised the upcoming visit which the supreme leader of the organization plans to Lebanon. He praised the humanitarian and social role played by the organization and the policy of tolerance and appreciation it enjoys at various levels – which itself contributes in the enforcement and enhancement of the common goals which deliver goodness and benefit to all segments of society.
"We have come to this noble house, firstly to thank his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql for his friendly reception, and to inform him of the visit of the supreme leader of the Knights of Malta to Lebanon on November 4”, said Besancono. We took the opportunity to discuss with his Eminence the importance of cooperation between the organization and Lebanon, which is aimed primarily at all those who are in need regardless of their sect or religion, especially that Lebanon is considered an ideal country for coexistence among all its different sects, and because the majority of the organization’s work takes place in this country. On the occasion of the visit of the supreme leader, we hope that this will be a joint opportunity to enhance cooperation and humanitarian values in order to show Lebanon's true face as a global center for dialogue between religions and sects, including this house and his Eminence to enhance the existing links of cooperation.
His Eminence also met with a delegation from the Directorate of the Druze House in Sao Paulo, headed by the president of the Druze house in Brazil Haitham Al-Masri, and the president of the Druze Shura Council Fouad Abu Zaher, to inform his Eminence about the ongoing preparations for the 5th World Druze Conference and the 3rd Youth Conference which will be organized the 10th and 13th of October in Sao Paulo. The meeting was attended by the head of the expatriate committee in the sectarian council Jamal Al-Jawhary, board member Hekmat Nofal and Mr. Wissam Abu Dargham.
