His Eminence Sheikh Aql of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid), Sheikh Naeem Hasan met with the delegation of the Consultative Council (Shura) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by Saleh Bin Manea Al-Khaliawi, accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari - in the presence of a delegation of Druze Sheikhs including the Druze sectorial Judge Sheikh Ghandi Makarem, a member of the religious advisory committee Sheikh Ghassan al-Halabi, and Sheikhs Sami Abdul Khaleq and Nazih Saab.
During the meeting his Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql welcomed the delegation at the Druze community House, which cherishes the historic brotherly relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership, first and foremost the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, and their support to Lebanon in many political, national, and humanitarian challenges in the hardships it went through, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have always shown loyalty and protection for its sovereignty and Arabic nature and national unity and the preservation of its security and stability.
His Eminence also praised the diligent role played by the Kingdom's ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari, in terms of enhancing cooperation and preservation of the brotherly relationship between the two countries.
For his part, the head of the Saudi delegation expressed his “respect for the Druze monotheistic community (Bani Maarouf) and their honorable history as one of the pillars of the Lebanese society.” He presented a portrait about the functions and role of the Shura Council along the current advancements in Saudi Arabia of a comprehensive Renaissance movement for the sake of the nation and the civilized image of Islam in general. He then presented to His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql an appreciation shield, who in turn handed him a medallion embodying the community House of the Druze monotheistic faith (Tawhid).
