His Eminence said in a declaration during the meeting: “We thank God for this uniting gathering, the gathering of reconciliation and return to Brih. We also invoke our blessing and salute the considerable efforts that were made to achieve it”.
He added: “It is true that we are standing above the cinder of history, but in God’s will our eyes are able to see the garden’s lilies.
It is true that we are going through the tragic experience with a broken heart, but in God’s will we will go toward the spaces of the humanitarian uniting field.
Our fate supposes that we live in this country and we have elaborated the way of life in it. We were protected by the emirate of the Jabal that has gathered most of the times all the confessions all through hundreds of years. We have to be inspired by the lesson that history provides us stating that by our union and uniting will as well as our national pact, we would be able to preserve Lebanon. In fact, the land only grows by the union of its sons”.
His Eminence concluded: “We are bound by this return, not only at this period but for our children and grandchildren, and this is the great sacrifice”.
