His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Community in Verdun – Beirut the Minister of Displaced Alice Chabtini accompanied by the General Director of the Ministry of Displaced  Me. Ahmad Mahmoud. The delegation delivered an invitation to his Eminence regarding the celebration of Brih reconciliation next Saturday. During the meeting, the delegation discussed the general situation, especially regarding the accomplishment of the file of the Shouf’s Displaced until this file is completed in West Chahar.
His Eminence mentioned all the serious attempts that were made in order to achieve the total reconciliation and the return of the displaced to their villages in the Jabal. He also saluted the national leader Walid Jumblat and his beatitude the Cardinal Saint Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir who have launched this historical journey in 2001 and opened the path toward the next reconciliations crowned by Brih reconciliation under the patronage of the President Michel Suleiman and the benediction of the Patriarch Beshara El Rahi and by the permanent effort of Walid Jumblat.
His Eminence the Sheikh emphasized the importance and symbolism of this step that has its significance in the devotion of coexistence in the Jabal and in Lebanon and all that it aims at of the significances of union, convergence and dialogue. All of these are principles that we all want to make as a firm methodology for all the Lebanese and that they appear in the elections of the Republic Presidency within the constitutional principles.
His Eminence received a delegation from the International Red Cross Committee presided by Mr. Raoul Pettal and the delegation exposed to his Eminence the Committee’s activities, in particular in the matter of the lost persons.
