His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan congratulated “the Lebanese people in general and the visitors released from the kidnap and their families in particular, for the safe end of their kidnapping issue and their sound release from the kidnappers”, appreciating their patience and endurance for the suffering they went through during the kidnapping period and the hard conditions they have survived”.

His Eminence thanked “the State in its figures and bodies as well as all the local parties that participated to the negotiations processes and that led to the liberation of the kidnapped”. He also thanked “the neighbor countries that have contributed to the achievement of this humanitarian process”. He hoped that “the serious and hard work would be pursued to liberate the two kidnapped archbishops Boulos Yaziji and Yuhanna Ibrahim in Syria”.

His Eminence the Sheikh also made a phone call to the delegated Prime Minister Tammam Salam to be reassured about his health condition and wished him the fast recovery from the illness that hit him.
