His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Community in Verdun – Beirut a delegation from “Amal Movement” including the Head of the Movement’s political office, the Sheikh Hassan El Masri and the member of the political office Abdallah Moussa who carried an invitation to his Eminence to attend the annual commemoration of the disappearance of the Imam Moussa Al Sadr that will be held on August 31st in Nabatieh Region.

His Eminence carried his salutations through the delegation to the Parliament President his Excellency Nabih Berri, whose role and national position are clearly reliable, in particular at these serious circumstances, hoping that all the Lebanese would be able with their solidarity and agreement to gather around the State and its institutions in order to preserve Lebanon’s civil peace, national union and security in the light of the dangerous and disturbing situation we are witnessing, the most recent of which was the horrible explosion of the Southern Suburb.

His Eminence shed the light on the personality of the Imam Al Sadr that is present in our minds and that unites the most important human and national concepts rejecting oppression and calling for the resistance of hostility, he who has raised his voice for the united word, purpose and destiny in this one and only nation that we all intend to make a heaven of freedom and dignity.

As for the Sheikh El Masri, he declared following the meeting: “I had the honor to meet his Eminence the Sheikh Naim Hassan, addressing our salutations to his Excellency Nabih Berri. We also carried an invitation to his Eminence to attend the commemoration of the disappearance of the Imam Sayyed Moussa Al Sadr. It was also an opportunity to discuss the difficult situation through which Lebanon is going and the attempt to keep the ghost of confessional and religious dissensions away, as well as the necessity that politicians rise to the level of the national responsibility and to the necessity of an effective Lebanese government that does not exclude anyone at all and strives in order to prevent divisions on the Lebanese field and guides the Lebanese people to a common national union”. The Sheikh El Masri added: “It has also been an opportunity to listen to the bright opinions and wise instructions of his Eminence, and that target nothing but Lebanon’s interest”.

His Eminence also received a delegation from the association of “Al Imam Cultural Forum” presided by the Head of the forum Me. Abbas Haidar accompanied by the forum’s members. The delegation addressed an invitation to his Eminence to participate to the fifth annual gathering of the Imam Sayyed Moussa Al Sadr under the title: “the Unitarian word and the word’s unity, readings in the visions of the Imam Al Sadr” that will be held in the city of Tyr. His Eminence wished the best of luck to the forum in all its activities and in spreading the thoughts of the Imam Al Sadr and his great national orientation. This is what we need today to unite the people around equality. As for the forum’s secretary Abbas Haidar, he thanked his Eminence the Sheikh Naim Hassan for his wise positions at these serious circumstances and that meet the positions of the Imam Al Sadr, aiming at consolidating Lebanon as one nation for all its citizens.
