His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Community in Beirut the Head of the “International Body for the support of reconciliation and solidarity”, the former deputy Hassan Yaacoub accompanied by a delegation from the peace propagandists in the World presided by the Irish Dr. “Mayrid Magware” holding the Nobel Peace Prize.
His Eminence the Sheikh certified before the delegation the importance of spreading the spirit of tolerance, charity and reconciliation all over the world, emphasizing in this context the necessity of ceasing the bloodshed and destruction that are happening in Syria, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people for a better future.
His Eminence also stressed on the fact that it is necessary for the international community to take action in order to make pressure on the Israeli enemy to stop its violations and perpetrations against the Palestinians and grant the Palestinian people their least humanitarian rights.
Following the meeting, “Mayrid Magware” pronounced a speech in the name of the delegation stating that this visit is meant to listen to the advices of his Eminence the Sheikh Akl Naim Hassan and rely on his opinion regarding the way to solve the conflict in Syria, considering that peace in Syria is essential; we should help the Syrian people and make concrete efforts in order to put an end to violence in Syria and adopt dialogue between all the parties. She emphasized the necessity of finding a peaceful solution, thanking the Lebanese people for the assistance of their displaced brothers.
On the other hand, his Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan congratulated the workers on the Labor’s Day, considering that they are the main pillar of the nation’s prosperity and permanence, hoping that the State’s efforts would be all united to achieve the social equity, ameliorate the living conditions of workers and grant them their rights.
