His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan condemned in a statement “the murder crime of the Sheikh Selman El Harfani in Hasbaya”.
His Eminence emphasized “the necessity of giving the final word in this issue to the judicial authorities that constitute the right and unique reference to reveal the crime’s circumstances, impose the sanctions on its perpetrators and wait for the investigations results that should be quickly achieved by the security bodies”.
The statement mentioned that his Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan “has charged the Druze Confessional Judge Ghandi Makarem to carry his condolences to the Sheikhs of El Bayada, to the inhabitants of Hasbaya and to the deceased’s family as well as the sons of the region”, underlining the “wisdom and conscience of the Sheikhs and wise people as well as their permanent keenness on their country’s stability and their speech’s union”.
For that same purpose, his Eminence received a series of condolences phone calls, mainly from the Vice President of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, the Sheikh Abdul Amir Kabalan.
