His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan met a delegation from the Muslim Scholars Body presided by the Sheikh Ahmad El Omari and they discussed all the general topics related to the Muslims’ affairs and conditions in Lebanon and the region.
During the meeting, his Eminence the Sheikh Hassan emphasized the necessity of anchoring the Islamic union and preventing dissension that is about to show up in more than one place, from reaching the Islamic ranks. He also certified the necessity of the serious and continuous work in order to consolidate the pillars of national union in Lebanon and fortify the links of coexistence between all its sons of all Christian and Islamic religions.
After the meeting, the Sheikh El Omari urged about the importance of holding an Islamo-Christian spiritual summit in order to come up with a common position regarding issues that concern all the Lebanese Confessions’ sons, including the civil marriage file that is currently being discussed on the Lebanese field and all that is related to the confessions’ privacies in the frame of coexistence and civil peace.
