His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan in a visit to his Holiness the Maronite Patriarch the Cardinal Saint Beshara Boutros Rahi, at the head of a delegation from the Druze Confessional Council. “The visit aims at congratulating his Holiness for the Cardinalate position and wishing him all the best of luck. We consider this as a pride to Lebanon in its whole, and it was an opportunity to discuss the national affairs and the spiritual summit matters. We emphasized the Lebanese people’s union and coexistence as well as the continuance of understanding between the spiritual leaders so that we assume our spiritual obligation toward our sons and our nation as well”.
As a reply to the following question: what would you tell the Lebanese people in the light of the stressing situation through which the country is going? He said: “They should be wise, reasonable and patient by sticking to understanding and charity called for by his Holiness”.
