His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan and a delegation of Sheikhs made a tour in some of the villages in Rashaya District. He began his tour with a visit to the member of the Druze Confessional Council the Sheikh Asaad Serhal in Dahr El Ahmar, to the Sheikh Abou Hamad Jamil Barghache in Bkifa. He also addressed his condolences to the family of the Sheikh Abou Afif Hussein Hamad in Akaba village and to the families of the Sheikhs Abou Amine Selman Abou Ibrahim and Reidan Abou Ibrahim in Rashaya.
In addition, his Eminence expressed his condolences in Khalwat village where the Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour received him as well as Sheikhs and figures in the village and in the village of Kfeir as well. Then, he moved to Mimes village where he visited the house of the Sheikh Said Abou Hamdan. In the village of Ain Kenya, he addressed his condolences to Hadifeh family, Dreibe family in Ain Jerfa and Slika family in Fardis. He visited Hasbaya and expressed his condolences to Safadi family and to the village’s sons as well. After that, he visited the two Sheikhs Fandi and Suleiman Jamaleddine Choujaa. He concluded the tour with a meeting with the Sheikhs in Khalwat Bayada.
During the tour, his Eminence the Sheikh emphasized “the necessity of diffusing the spirit of awareness and national union in these serious circumstances, underlining “the importance of solidarity and cohesion of all the nations’ sons and the consolidation of coexistence in the light of the decisive challenges surrounding Lebanon and the region”.
