Beirut, on December 27, 2012

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun – Beirut a delegation from the Spiritual Group in the Jabal of all the Islamo-Christian confessions, under the following slogan: “enhancing dialogue and common coexistence and rejecting confessional dissension”. The Father Judge Elias Saliba emphasized in the name of the delegation the constructive communication between the Lebanese families of the Shouf in the Jabal, which are the good example of the Christmas tree with their compatible and arranged colors.
His Eminence declared: “We are glad to meet you since we wish this nation a gathering uniting all its sons and Communities. There are graces in Lebanon and we should be thankful for them. Humans are brothers and the celestial messages are His will. In our Unitarian law and in the content of laws: “Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has “At-Taqwa”, “so whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it, and whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom shall see it”. These are the principal rules for humans. In Lebanon, we have to intensify the efforts; your efforts and your gathering are blessed. We wish you the best of luck in consolidating coexistence and union between the Lebanese. There is no option in Lebanon but through union, understanding and harmony. The roots of the Lebanese entity in Mount Lebanon and the history of the Jabal are a good proof of the charity, coexistence and cooperation. Conflicts may take place at the same house. Therefore, we should care at first for our private house in our children’s education and raising them on the principles of harmony, charity and coexistence. We should care at a second place for the tribe. In fact, humans have the right to take care of the tribe, but the huge house is Lebanon. We should all strive in order to save our souls at first and our society at a second place, and for peace, convergence and charity as well. This is all that we wish for and strive to achieve in cooperation with their Eminence and Holiness, a permanent communication. However, when we meet and express our opinions in general, we hope that you constitute the communication with the popular category and our parents and sons of all confessions. By the will of God and the efforts of the sincere people, Lebanon remains safe under this troubling and stressing atmosphere. We ask God His Almighty to be with you and protect you and Lebanon as well”.
