His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan made a phone call to the President of Republic the General Michel Suleiman through which he addressed his condolences for the assassination of the Major General Wissam El Hassan and the Warrant Officer Ahmad Sahyouni. He also mentioned “the wisdom of the President Suleiman and his insistence on the necessity of pursuing the perpetrators of this crime”, “hoping that the negotiations held by the political leaders get to keep the country away from the imminent risks”.

His Eminence also made phone calls of condolences for the assassination of the martyr Major General, to the Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the Mufti of the Republic the Sheikh Rashid Kabbani, the Minister of Interior Brigadier General Marwan Charbel and the General Director of Interior Security Forces the Major General Achraf Rifi.

His Eminence emphasized through his phone calls “the great loss that has hit Lebanon due to the absence of the Major General El Hassan”, underlining the necessity of revealing the perpetrators and imposing the severest sanctions on them”, hoping that the Interior Security Forces Institution as well as all the Security Institutions pursue their path in the preservation of security and consolidation of stability”.

He declared that “due to the current serious circumstances, he feels sorry for not receiving congratulations at the occasion of the Holy Adha Feast, hoping that all the Lebanese people would have a blessed one under better circumstances filled with goodness, tranquility and safety”.
