The Confessional Council of the Druze Unitarian Community held a meeting presided by his Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan at the House of the Community in Beirut and discussed the affairs of the Community as well as the situation of the country and the region.
The Council addressed its congratulations, at the occasion of the Lebanese Army’s day on August 1st, to the Commander of the Lebanese Army the General Jean Kahwaji and to all the officers, servants and members, emphasizing the necessity that all the Lebanese strive to isolate the military institution from the political conflicts so that it remains the force immunizing the country in a way that enables it to assume its main role in the preservation of the security, defense of the country’s borders and protection of the Lebanese.
His Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan had made a phone call to the Commander of Lebanese Army the General Jean Kahwaji congratulating him at this occasion and a similar phone call to the Chief of Staff the Major General Walid Selman.
