His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan expressed his strong worries about the incidents that took place and are still happening on the Lebanese local level, in particular in the North and at the Lebanese and Syrian borders, where the Lebanese recalled the scene of the extremely dangerous mutual kidnapping, and this gets them back to the period of the horrible civil war. His Eminence certified that “this requires from all the political forces and the concerned parties, as well as the government and the State’s institutions and services, and all the Lebanese people, to be aware of the risks of these incidents and to strive firmly to achieve stability, to strengthen the presence of the State and isolate Lebanon from the conflicts before it is too late”.
Besides, his Eminence received at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun - Beirut the Ambassador of Yemen in Lebanon Faysal Abou Ras, and discussed with him the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the situation of Lebanon and the region. His Eminence the Sheikh wished the State of Yemen “stability and peace, and hoped that it regains its security and enjoys democracy, progress and prosperity”.
