His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Community in Beirut - Verdun, a delegation from the Council of the Middle East Churches, accompanied by the member of the Arab group for the Islamo-Christian dialogue, the Judge Abbas Halabi. The delegation included the Pastor Andros Jajward from the Churches Council of Denmark and Issmat Allah Moujaddidi from the Islamic Council in Denmark.

The delegation addressed its condolences to his Eminence the Sheikh at the death of the Head of the Druze Unitarian Community’s Spiritual Body, the deceased Abou Mohamad Jawad Walieddine. The meeting was also an opportunity through which the Sheikh Hassan discussed with the delegation the importance of activating the common meetings between the partisans of the celestial religions in order to emphasize coexistence, anchor the fruitful dialogue between the Islamic and Christian confessions and raise the voice of truth and ethics at all levels.
