His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan discussed with the Ambassador of Turkey in Lebanon Anan Ozildiz at the House of the Community in Verdun the general situation in Lebanon and the region.

Ozlidiz delivered to his Eminence the greetings of the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmad Daoud Oglo as well as his apologies for not being able to meet him during his last visit to Lebanon, promising to make this happen in other visits. The Ambassador of Turkey also underlined “the position of Sheikh Akl and the Druze Unitarian Community and what he represents as a religious and national reference assuming a primary role in preserving Lebanon’s stability, union and coexistence”.

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan praised “the role of Turkey at the levels of both the Islamic world and the region. He also asked the Ambassador of Turkey to deliver his salutations to the Turkish leadership, emphasizing the necessity to perform the necessary at this period in order to strengthen the convergence between the Islamic and Arabian Forces to reach the revival of populations, preserve the region against dangers and strengthen the harmony between the sons of the Islamic confessions and between the Moslems and the Christians in general”.
