His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan met the Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council the Sheikh Abel Amir Kabalan at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun, at the head of a delegation including the Head of the Jaafarite Legal Courts the Sheikh Hassan Awad and religious leaders, in presence of the Druze Confessional Judge the Sheikh Ghandi Makarem and the member of the Islamo-Christian dialogue committee the Judge Abbas Halabi.
During the meeting, the Sheikh Hassan declared: “We welcome his Honorable Eminence and his respectful companions at their house, the House of the Druze Unitarian Community. We discussed the issues that certify the union of the Moslems in particular and the Lebanese in general, as well as the principles of the Islamic and Islamo-Christian spiritual summits. We are undertaking continuously many talks, seeking the best for our sons, in order to gather them all together and consolidate Lebanon’s coexistence, union, stability, peace and safety".
The Sheikh Kabalan said: “It is a honor for us to meet at this noble House to stay united in one body in the battlefield and the challenges against the enemies of the country. His Eminence the Sheikh is lovable, faithful, humanitarian and generous. We learn from him modesty, good morals and noble ethics. We are one people and one team, we call for the charity, wisdom and goodness. Celestial religions taught us how to deal with our brothers and be open to the enemies. Therefore, we should begin with ourselves, ameliorate our affairs, unite our ranks and cooperate with piety and devotion, not with contempt and hostility. We should pull from our eyes and foreheads the condemned fanaticism and adopt the fanaticism of the good to apply it. On the days of pilgrimage, one of the basis on which was founded the Islam, we go on pilgrimage and cooperate with the other Moslems of the world, so that we unite into one, staying far away from egoism, envy and hatred.
He added: “Lebanon, this piece of land blessed by all its religions and confessions, we ask from here, from the honorable House of the Druze Unitarian Community, our parents, brothers and beloved ones, to cross our hands in yours, our hearts are open to you, to strive in order to save the country from disputes, deceptions and tricks. We should depart from the Unitarianism of God and make sincere efforts to protect the country. In my opinion, Lebanon will guide the world toward the good, benediction, civilization and progress. Lebanon is rich by the teachings of the prophets and the competence of its sons. We should preserve the country and keep it away from the ghost of division, settlement, bad and troubles. We live in Lebanon in one body, Christian and Moslem, the Christianity deep-rooted in the earth and the Islam large in its beliefs and its ways of dealing with affairs, far away from egoism, hatred and envy. We depart from Lebanon to raise the voice and tell the Syrians:  preserve your country, to the Arabian regimes:  reform your affairs, unite your ranks, save the poor, do not be unworthy toward your people, but unite and cooperate with them, be one hand. Israel sets the colonies and destroys the Palestinian houses. We tell the Arab people all over the world:  go back to your religion, ancestors and origins. Stay away from discrimination, fraud, resentment and hatred. We should guide this people attentively, by good morals and real education. The Prophet (May God’s blessing and peace be upon him) said:  God educated me and made it well, we should educate ourselves by the morals of the Prophet Mohamed (God’s blessing and peace be upon him), to follow him and pursue his mission, to be attached to the good and move away from the bad. This nation belongs to all of us, we should protect it wholeheartedly by keeping tricks, resentments and hatreds far away. Lebanon belongs to all his sons, a definitive nation for its people, as the Imam Moussa El Sadr said. We regret that there are some aged minds extremely far from justice that made the Imam Moussa El Sadr disappear. We address to some of them to say that the Arab stays 40 years and then takes revenge. God has taken revenge from Gaddafi by killing him severely. We have to come back to each other, to our religion and to the ethics of our prophets, to be attached to the good and goodness, and to be loyal to this country. We would like to congratulate the Patriarch Beshara El Rahi for his blessed visit to Baghdad, and we hope that the Iraqi people protect each other and stay far away from the bad, we support you Christians in the country and abroad, we lend our helping hands for you, our hearts are open to yours, work hard for the good of the society to save it from intrigues, tricks and dissensions. We thank his Eminence the Sheikh and the Druze Unitarians; we will stand by you till the end”.
