His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan discussed with the Ambassador of Norway Sfein Asse at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun the general situation and the current Palestinian attempt in the United Nations to recognize the total membership for the State of Palestine.
His Eminence assured to the Ambassador of Norway “the necessity to support the Palestinian reason completely in the international assemblies facing the intransigence and insolence of Israel”. The Ambassador of Norway also expressed "his support for the decisions of the Palestinian people, recalling that his country defended the peace agreement of Oslo”.
He insisted on "the importance of supporting the security forces and the army in their continuous efforts aiming to re-establish security and stability, to prevent the expansion of the chaos in the country and to protect Lebanon against any attack from the enemy or any element violating the law”. He also greeted "the Interior Security Forces for their unwearied activity, by pursuing people wanted before courts and watching over the safety and civil peace of the country; which charges them with a double responsibility in this difficult period of the country’s age and places the politicians in front of the necessity to put an end to the campaigns of intense speech and to generalize the culture of dialogue as the only option.
