His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received the at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun - Beirut, the Ambassador of the State of the United Arab Emirates in Lebanon Youssef Assimy, and discussed the current general situation of Lebanon and the region. Hi Eminence the Sheikh wished the State of Emirates and the Gulf region in general, stability, prosperity and progress, mentioning the permanent support it offers to Lebanon at all periods.
As for the Ambassador Assimy, he declared after the meeting that the visit aims to make acquaintances, consolidate and reinforce fraternal relations. We delivered the greetings of the leaders of the State of Emirates to his Eminence the Sheikh, and we discussed common topics.
His Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan also incited the Lebanese and all their leaders to put an end to the nervous and intense speech to avoid its repercussions on the territory, to preserve the civil peace and stability and reinforce the climate of national union. His Eminence called to privilege the interest of Lebanon on any other personal and categorical interest, and to gather the efforts in order to launch the national dialogue again and discuss the disagreements in an atmosphere of quietness, solidarity, respect of liberties and acceptance of other opinions.
On the other hand, his Eminence the Sheikh received a delegation of "the academy of dialogue and reconciliation", presided by Dr Ziad Fahed, including thirty young girls and boys, pursuing the session of year 2011, in order to train them for dialogue, acquaintances and consolidation of religious principles.
