His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at his house in Bounia a delegation that included the Minister of affairs of the Displaced, the deputy Alaa El-Din Terro, the deputy Akram Chehayeb, the general manager of the displaced fund the engineer Fadi Aramouni, the general manager of the Ministry of Displaced, the engineer Ahmad Mahmoud, the chief of the police squad in the region, commander Ghassan Othman, the representative of the Ministry of Interior in the West at the Socialist Progressive Party Wissam Al Kadi, and a big number of leaders in presence of the President of Municipality in Bounia, Fares Jaber, the mayor Habib Yahi, as well as the Sheiks of the village and a number of chiefs.
His Eminence the Sheikh Hassan wished in this meeting "the minister Terro the best of luck in the execution of his missions and the pursuance of what his predecessor the minister Chehayeb has begun, especially in the region of Western Chahar that deserves priority, as well as the importance of opening the file of the displaced, the return and total urbanization."
His Eminence also thanked the efforts of the Ministry of Displaced and the National Fund for Displaced in this context. "After this meeting, the minister Terro declared, "this visit to his Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community was necessary, since he is a national reference and a considerable moral value, we were guided by his opinions and kindly asked him to sustain and reinforce the projects of the return. We are achieving a national project which is meant to return the displaced, provide reparations and accommodate the inhabitants in their houses since the Ministry of Displaced is absolutely national and political, it was launched by the President of the party M.Walid Jumblat and reinforced by the historic reconciliation with the Patriarch Sfeir. Today, this ministry enjoys the support of both the President of Republic and the Prime Minister to put an end to this complicated file and provide the necessary funds to achieve the reparations, urbanization and renovation of the damaged villages.
Minister Terro assured that the priority will be for what the Minister Chehayeb has begun, by paying the compensations of reparations and urbanization to treat the topic of supporting the return, and by paying for the damaged villages, since we still only have the reparation of Kfarselwane on which we are working hard with a number of concerned persons in order to solve this dilemma.
He added that after the acquisition of the government for confidence, the Prime minister promised to provide the private funds, and that the Ministry of Finance must pay us an amount of money included in a program prepared earlier to pay the compensations for the displaced.
