His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan received at the House of the Druze Community in Verdun the delegation of the syndicates and unions for land transportation. They exposed to him their situation at the syndicate in general and in their sectors in particular.

His Eminence confirmed to the delegation their right to their demands concerning the transportation sector, and which affects all social classes. He also mentioned in this context, the steps of the local treatment taken by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Public Works and Transportation, in order to support the drivers of public transport. He considered that "the most appropriate and exact treatment consists in the declaration of the modern plan for public transportation and the elaboration of a fiscal policy for the State, based on the fairness between the well-off classes and the poor classes. This requires that the government takes in hand the negotiation of the way of life and the elaboration at first of a future policy for oil."
