His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan visited the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic the Sheikh Mohamad Rachid Kabbani and the vice-president of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, the Sheikh Abdul Amir Kabalan, in the context of discussions concerning the holding of the Islamic-Christian summit in Bkerki. Hassan hoped that "this summit would be an important message for coexistence in Lebanon", emphasizing the fact that "the speech of religious leaders is the same and calls for good, truth, convergence and rejection of conflicts and dissensions".
After his visit to his Eminence the Mufti Kabbani at Dar El Fatwa, he announced: “the visit aims to discuss the holding of the Islamic-Christian summit at the Patriarchal palace. We appreciated this invitation, and in God’s willing, it would be a good omen for the convergence between the Lebanese people and the confirmation of their coexistence. In fact, we are keen on preserving the unity of Muslims and Lebanese, as well as rejecting all aspects of separation and dissensions. We also call for the acceleration of the Lebanese government’s constitution in order to support the institutions of the State and to revive convergence and dialogue since we cannot abstain from dialogue between policy makers”.
As an answer to a question, he declared, "the speech of religious leaders is the same; it is nothing but an invitation to the good, the truth, the high ideals, the convergence between the Lebanese people and the rejection of conflicts and dissensions. We hope that the government would be for all the Lebanese people.

His Eminence the Sheikh Kabalan appreciated during his meeting with his Eminence the Sheikh Naim Hassan "any action that would contribute to the consolidation of the national union and the strengthening of cooperation, association and dialogue between the Lebanese claiming the unification of speech and the fortification of unity through cooperation. Once the link between the Lebanese is achieved, the separation will be impossible, especially that we reject to isolate or to marginalize anyone. In fact, Lebanon is protected by its unity and the join of Lebanese efforts of different religions. We should preserve Lebanon as we preserve ourselves, so that we would stay away from the chaos and the din.
He confirmed that “Lebanon is built by association between all Lebanese of different religions and confessions. We are all brothers and parents and we will not allow anyone to separate between the Lebanese people. Undoubtedly, the strength of Lebanon only derives from the unity of its sons, as well as their cooperation, so that Lebanon remains the rock on which conspiracies break.”
As for his Eminence the Sheikh Akl, Sheikh Naim Hassan, he said after the meeting: "our visit should lead to more consultations concerning the holding of the Islamic-Christian summit at the Patriarchal palace. We hope that this summit would be, by the help of His Almighty, an important message for coexistence in Lebanon. We hope as well that this coexistence would be always present in our country Lebanon”.
He added: “this visit to his Eminence the Sheikh Kabalan aims to strengthen the Islamic communication in order to prevent the violation of Islamic unity. We certainly confirmed the national concepts, among which the dialogue is the most important to solve all suspended conflicts and problems in this country". He also declared that "it would be necessary to accelerate the constitution of the Lebanese government in order to strengthen the role of the State and to support the dissidence against Israeli threats and attacks.
