His eminence Sheikh Akl of Unitarian Druze Confession Sheikh Naim Hassan received today in the Druze Community House in Verdun the Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch Mar Eghnatios Joseph III Younan, accompanied by Bishops Antoine Beilloni and Joseph Malki, and Father Afram Semaan. The Patriarch Younan confirmed that the visit was “to offer congratulations on the Adha and to thank Skeikh El Akl for his compassion regarding the massacre that took place in the Sayedat Al Najat Church in Baghdad. We ask God in these blessed days that peace and security may overwhelm in our Eastern country and in wounded Iraq so that its sons convene to the love of their country and restoration of love and reconciliation.

His eminence had also received MP Fadi El-Habr for the occasion. He also received a series of calls most notably from Army Commander Major General John Qahwajy and MPs Henry Helo and Anwar El Khalil, and former MP Nayla Moawwad, and several other calls from Lebanon and abroad.
