His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of Druze Unitarian Community, El Sheikh Naim Hassan made two phone calls today to both His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic of Lebanon El Sheikh Mohamad Rachid Kabbani, and His Eminence the Vice-President of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council El Sheikh Abdul Amir Kabala, discussing the national issues and current news. “He confirmed the cohabitation and the unity between the Lebanese, particularly between the Moslems themselves, and between the Moslems and the Christians, insisting to use the reason and push away the confessional tension factors and inciting seditions.”

On the other hand, the Sheikh Akl El Sheikh Naim Hassan condemned the fact that two Israeli settlers burned the Prophets Mosque in the town of Beit Najjar while the Holy Koran is inside, calling both Arab and Islamic world to take a responsible position, to confront those who crossed the lines by lighting the flame of confessional sedition, and to respect the Celestial religions and the sacred places and not to attack or insult them.
