His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of Druze Unitarian Community El Sheikh Naim Hassan received in the Druze Community House in Beirut, the ex-minister and Deputy Elias Skaff, in the presence of the attorney Ghassan Mahmoud.

Afterwards, Skaff said, “we discussed with His eminence a number of general issues and matters. He added: “we are still in the same political line as well as the same broad principles and lines. Today there is a new phase where there are reconciliations between the country symbols, and we are opening a new page, continuing as a part of the old opposition that does not exist any more and is neither 8 nor 14 of March as there is no more partisanship and opposition.

He continued: “We want cooperation with everyone, but unfortunately, there are difficulties because of the existence of theories and conflicts concerning the dominating power on the scene, as well as regional circumstances imposing their will on people. There are also regional circumstances imposing in their turn the continuity of adherence to the principles and political line, concerning the problems afflicting Lebanon as a result to the Israeli politics towards the Palestinians on our land. They have the right to the return refused by the Jews to keep them in their place and take pleasure to the confessionalism and others which unfortunately are accepted sometimes on the ground.  There is praise to democracy in the foreign countries while in Lebanon we see summer and winter under one roof.
