His Eminence the Sheikh of Druze confession, El Sheikh Naim Hassan received in the House of Druze confession in Verdun today, a delegation from Fateh Movement leadership in Lebanon presided by the revolutionary council member Khaled Aref, the member of Lebanese leadership and the secretary of Bekaa region, Nayef Osman. The delegation saluted El Sheikh Hassan in the name of the president Mahmoud Abbas and he informed him about the circumstances inside Palestine and the attacks on Al Aksa Mosque as well as on religious sanctities. The delegation offered to the Sheikh a painting representing the ancient Holy Land as a sign of estimation of his continuous support of the Palestinian Cause.
After the meeting Aref hoped that the scream launched by the people of the Holy Land to help them in defending Al Aksa and all the Christian and Moslem sanctities will be heard, especially after the renouncement of the American Administration to exert pressures on the Israeli occupation to stop the settlement. Our people need all the good and struggling people as el Sheikh to stand by their side in order to defend the Holy Land and its sanctities.
Then, His Eminence received a delegation from the Islamic Lebanese – Palestinian assembly which included, among the group of the Islamic scientists El Sheikh Zuheir El Jaid, from Hezbollah El Hage Mohamad Saleh and from Hamas movement Raafat Mara. The delegation delivered an invitation to Sheikh Hassan for the meeting concerning the defense of Al Aksa mosque and the Holy Land tomorrow. El Sheikh El Jaid said that we found His Eminence very interested in the Holy Land and Palestine. We talked about what is threatening Al Aksa Mosque and the Holy Land as the Zionist dangers, and the importance to always support the Palestinians through popular and political movement, calling the Palestinians parties to be united in front of this enemy. In t his occasion we hope that a Unity government will be formed soon because the country may not be governed except by agreement, forgiveness and respect of the other’s opinion.
Among the visitors of the Druze House Mrs. Rabab El Sadr who invited his Eminence to the conference of the eleventh disappearance commemoration of El Imam El Sadr under the title “we gathered for human being according to the view of El Imam El Sader” which will take place at the UNESCO on the twelfth of December.
