His Eminence the Sheikh of Druze confession, El Sheikh Naim Hassan received in the House of Druze confession in Verdun the Iraqi Vice-President Adel Abdul Mahdi who declared after the meeting: “We discussed with His Eminence the situation in Lebanon and the amelioration of the security circumstances therein, as well as the efforts deployed for the birth of a Unity Government, we also informed him of the atmosphere in Iraq and of the achieved positive security situation, and the reason of discussing it comes back to the violence and terrorism of which Iraq is suffering, until reaching the common matters between our two countries in the field of ameliorating the investments and the Iraqi workers guarantees in Lebanon. There was a benefit and a profit for all the parties if it pleases God, which is reflected positively on the relations between Lebanon and Iraq, and therefore enhances the Arab and regional relations.”
