His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of Mouwahidoun Druze Sect, Sheikh Naim Hassan, met the Saudi ambassador Ali Bin Said Awad El Essari at the Druze Community House in Verdun on May 28, 2009.

The Saudi ambassador visited His Eminence, Sheikh Aql of Mouwahidoun Druze Sect, Sheikh Naim Hassan, at the Druze Community House in Verdun; His Eminence said, “We welcome the assignment of His Excellency, the Saudi ambassador Ali Bin Said Awad El Essari as an ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in his second homeland Lebanon.
We do also welcome him an ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques conveying to us the most transcendental of what that land represents of spiritual values, respect and impartiality.
We do also welcome, in our name and the name of the Mouwahidoun Druze Sect, his visit to his house, the Druze Community House, for we could not forget the historic role played by the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia – in terms of its government and brotherly people - in helping Lebanon maintain its liberty in its Arabic surrounding; in its unlimited support in economy and care; in embracing the perseverant, active and sincere Lebanese efficiencies without distinction or being reminded of favor. Consequently, an atmosphere of mutual unrestricted amiability, familiarity and respect was established between the Lebanese and Saudi people.
Once more, we welcome His Excellency and wish him a pleasant stay in Lebanon and success so that the Saudi role would always be distinct and unique.”
On his part, following his visit, the Saudi ambassador said, “I was so pleased to meet His Eminence and listen to his advices; I do wish him and the political forces in this dear country all the respect and regard. We discussed with His Eminence the interior and regional situation and developments where he proved to be the best advisor. In my capacity as a new ambassador in Lebanon, I prefer learning and listening to my brothers in this country in regard of what serves and develops the relation between the two countries; that was the issue of our speech; I can only pray sincerely to see this dear country secure, stable and prosperous far from troubles. May God bless Lebanon.
In response of a question regarding the view of his country toward the coming elections in Lebanon, he said, “First, let me make clear that we absolutely view these elections as a domestic affair with distinction; thus, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi leadership wish that these elections would bring forth the security, stability and solidarity that keep this country so that it could give its citizens all the best and righteousness.”
