Honesty is the right approach

Honesty is considered for the Druze Unitarians as the cornerstone in the base of ethical behavior to which every human being must be adhered toward himself at first as well as toward others in term of his words, his actions and his purposes, whether outward or inward. For them, honesty and sincerity in the performance is the spirit of act, and thus, it can be either a good act for the good of the individual and the group, or it can be imbued with slag that always confuse the minds, sow the seeds of suspicion and discord and stir hatred in the souls. The human being is a reflection of his intentions: if his intentions are for goodness and amelioration, he starts with himself, however, if he intends bad than he glooms himself. 

If a person is required to honestly speak and act for himself, he is more likely to be required of the same if he is open to the public sector. In this case, it is about the general responsibility in addition to the private responsibility related to the one’s conscience and secrets. It is also evident that person who seeks goodness and amelioration in his society considers believes that he enjoys honesty, chivalry and enthusiasm, exuberant in his initiative to fix disorder. If is not originated with these qualities then he deceives himself before deceiving people.

The factors of any real and true social reform, begins with every individual monitoring himself, his sincerity and his behavior with others. This requires the sincere to give advice to his brother at first upon the principle of maintaining the brotherhood. The fundament of the discipline of religion before religion itself is the cornerstone in the monotheistic law and the discipline of life. As the tongue that is used on evasion, prevarication and deception would be a heavy blow for self, which become its first victims by getting used to falseness leading it to a dangerous alienation.

Criticizing the wrongness or the negligence must have been based on facts existing actually.  Otherwise, if it is based on mistakes, delusions and suspicions, it is even worse because it emerges from the motives of hatred and rancor.

The resurgent must enjoys in his society the benefits of honesty, sincerity and moral courage.  The principle of respecting others and dealing in public affairs, in a way that offers indications that the demand of reform derived from serious, clear and strong argumental vision in the fields with which it tackles, requires few things to successfully serve the public interest, mainly the permanent and continuous cooperation, communication, and hard work to seek common points in order to build on it to achieve the desired goals. Otherwise, it is disruption, boycotts and devotes divisions, the thing that leads to an absurd situation in which everyone loses, and thus, demands of amelioration turn into their opposite, but even worse. The issue consists on practicing sterile activity in which love of appearance overcomes useful targets, and the love of speech overshadows in order to strengthen limited public relations at the expense of performing real steps and effective achievements that serve the required renaissance for the interests of society and the nation.

This is one of the facts that we should all not lose sight in this field. Enough for each one having conscience to stand carefully in front of the facts and realities, depriving any nervousness, sectarianism and secret enmity, for honesty is the right approach toward self and toward others, the reflection of sincere intentions and the efficacious expression of good intention for anyone who wants to get involved in the topics of public affairs. God Almighty knows what is inside the chests.
