Ethical moderation

Morality is a necessary basic rule that should be strengthened in the human’s heart if he seeks the right way of unitarism, in knowledge and practice. Otherwise, without establishing this rule, the individual’s move in this direction remains useless.

The ancient wise men had put the ethics as an essential first condition of the conditions of true religion, which means unitarism, in parallel with another condition “the sensor of morals existence”. But they held the moral concept by discipline, and that is for substantial reasons on which we should stop carefully.

Morality can be praised or dispraised. The ancients have explained the concept called “the midfield moral law”. They said that moral virtue is a compromise between the two vices the excessiveness and dissipation.  For example, courage is a virtue, if a person uses it in excess he is deemed reckless which is dispraised. On the other hand, if he dissipates it he is considered as coward and cowardice is dispraised. Generosity is also a virtue, but being excessive is extravagant and being dissipated is greed. Last but not least, dream is a virtue, but an apathy and ignorance when being exceeded and reckless and impetuous when dissipated.  

Therefore, we have to be conscious that the Unitarian’s morals are a moderation in the balance of his mind and heart, which shall be reflected in his words, acts and ethical choices in life. Unitarism should whether be the fruit of moderation or should be realized in the way that the person feels what is called by the noble ancestors “the self-virtue”.

The delicate question that should be asked in our contemporary world, from the unitarism point of view, is how to access this “moral moderation” and take advantage of its spiritual achievement necessary for the understanding of the gentle meanings of the supreme mind, while the modern life requires a fast rhythm, and put us under a flow of images of material requirements, desires and needs that pass the limits of moderation, and thus do not help us, to harvest spiritual fruits?

In other words, modern life is a composition, that means it makes the individual believes that his happiness lies essentially behind earning wealth without restrictions or conditions, and to refrain from suppressing the self-passions by fulfilling its natural needs regardless of the wise mind contraindications, possessing the means of comfort and luxury to the maximum extent possible and so on. .. While unitarism, within the core, is the science of simplicity and simplicity would put the person in front of the self-mirror and intensify to the extent that it is not valid with it for a true, pure and honest vision. The optical memory stores all what our eyes see from the images, formed by contemporary mirror, is a memory is full of delusions, it means empty of all real support for the mind. In the past, the book provided us with a mental memory, but today it has been overshadowed by – knowing that it is a mean - the screen images surround us from every direction.

The image represents our inevitable daily reality, of which our society is captured, or evens all the contemporary societies. It comes to us clear, manufactured, sarcastic and charged with mutiny on preaching heritage which has been rooted in the protection of family and school and in particular, religion. Therefore, the new generation is under the influence of the picture because they see it contemporary,  natural and realistic in the sense of which it urged all desire, while the speech occurred preaching it comes harsh burden away imbued with bitterness. And any image comes from the breakdown of moral Without Borders or hateful image of fighting age where it ignorance?

The moral collapse screen tickles the desires, always culminating for us kings in the Kingdom of shape and physical presence and appearance. Our bodies arouse from all mental contemplation and lead us to the market of consumption. What is the result? The person’s tendency to easiness and to relaxation in the case of receipt of the inhabited images delusions, to comply with the stream of seduction, and at the same time, the reluctance of every dream, I mean of all internal discipline would greet the necessary balance to the integrity basis and make it essential building the human personality. Therefore, the gap is widening in conjunction with time.

We have to alter everything we can in order to understand what we receive of existence. The responsibility lies on all levels, in particular religious, cultural, social and private levels. Arab and Islamic roots are considered as ours, our children are our responsibility, and women adoring themselves are not of our traditions. We can say at the end that Mothers are like schools, pampering them means securing our future.
