His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan regretted in a statement today the fact of “turning essential and necessary files in the country to a controversial matter rather than subject of complete global consensus”.

He stressed that the “dangerous levels of declination of different issues are now requiring exceptional act from all political forces to save what remains of the state’s prestige at the internal and external level, and gives a dose of hope for the constitutional institutions ‘ability to work, which also applies on the Parliament regarding its legislative and electoral duties, and on the Council of Ministers in its executive functions”.

His Eminence the Sheikh called to "drive the legislative session called by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri out from the cycle of interactions and narrow interests, and deal with them along with the course of action in all the state’s institutions and sectors starting from the national imperatives and the higher interest of the country, within the regulations imposed by the priorities of the state’s survival and the Charter of common living”.
