Salutations to the Unitarians in North-Syria
Today our hearts are in Kaftin, Ma'arrat Alikhwan, Kalb lawza and all Abbia villages that the Unitarians have long known through their honorable history in this mountain that overlook at Antioch. We sympathize with our families and beloved who carried the misnomer (Druze of Aleppo), who enjoyed ardor, honor, generosity, hospitality altruism and have turned their homes and their hearts to shelters embracing tens thousands of displaced people from their neighbors. This is not surprising since the Unitarians have always lived there and everywhere under the principles of noble Arabism and tolerant religion of Islam manifested in the earth through optimal human realization, spiritual and moral character that the Nations should follow, and honest virtues to which they are attached.
Our hearts are with you, our people who live in the mountain that means a lot to us and to you, you who are attached to your land. It is there where noble Arab tribes lived before the Conquest, and when they responded to the call to faith, the most honorable fulfilled their hearts with meanings of the Book, and their souls with good acts that please God His Almighty, and their swords in defense of the nation and its pride. Thus, part of them departed and lived in the cavities of the Levant coast, offering sacrifices through hundreds of years without disintegrating from their roots to defend the pride the community and the nation.
Read the history, read it very well and sincerely in the light of the word of truth and His Messenger. These people did not, for thousand years, violate the sanctity of their brother in the "community" or the other. These people characterized by integrity, faith, dignity, honor and modesty did not break a promise nor betray a person; they only colluded with dignity and virility.
Read the history clearly. Look at how they were, although their modest financial capacities, overcharged with load that an entire country could not bear. Look deeply in your conscience before looking in your eyes at the effect of their morals, at their loyalty to the right, at their noble humanitarian commitment to prohibit attacks against any one, at their compliance to the purposes of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, who transmitted commandments for Muslims to follow, He, peace be upon him, said: "Allah has forbidden to you, your blood, your wealth as sacred as your country .. Fear Allah and do not deprive the people of their due.. Every Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, so he never acts deceitfully against him, does not betray him and he does not speak ill of him in his absence. He does not cause his heart to bleed, he does not devour his properties unless by his will and permission…”
Those are steadfast and patient wishing for their dear country Syria just all the good, to their people just all the dignity and to the nation that God His Almighty relieves her from the evil fighting and battles and returns to the hearts the grace of harmony and unity. Those were, as their predecessors, loyal, pure in their heart, hand, conscience and soul, they only deserve from every believer, and every person all the respect and loyalty.
O our dear people, you came to the place that pays serious attention and delicate follow-up of each development in your issues. We, in the confessional council of the Druze Unitarians Community and the Akl Sheikhdom, with all what they represent, highly appreciate your patience, wisdom and your dreams. We know that you are following the footsteps of good Ancestors, attached to dignity of the neighbor. You and we are faithful to God, we ask His Almighty to respond to their prayers, to reinforce their hearts with faith, to release them and save them from injustice, and we pray Him to gather us in his obedience, pleasure and mercy, He is the wise, the knower.
