His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan congratulated all the Lebanese at the occasion of the Independence Day, even though the country is witnessing during this year the absence of a president as well as serious economic, security and political conditions, while a large number of the military and security elements are still kidnapped and the overall circumstances do not seem to have any immediate solution.

His Eminence also regretted this scene that distresses Lebanon’s Independence, calling all the political leaderships to work promptly in order to save the country from all the external challenges that surround it and all the internal troubles that overwhelm it and to quickly proceed to elect a president for the Republic so that constitutional life regains its normal state. He also incited the government to daily and actively work for the service of people’s benefits helping them in their living conditions and their life issues, stressing on the necessity of offering all the needed support to the Lebanese army and the security forces that are the only ones able to defend Lebanon, maintain its security, safety and stability, protect the boundaries and fight against terrorism and Israeli perils, hoping that the Lebanese would feel the true significance of Independence one day.
