His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan condemned the explosion “that hit the Lebanese Army’s vehicle in Ersal and strongly denounced the execution of the soldier Mohamed Hamieh by the armed groups. He also underlined the necessity of a national support to the military institution, so that it would be able to pursue its heavy duties at this dangerous period”.

His Eminence addressed his condolences to the Army Leadership and its martyrs, as well as to the families of the martyr soldiers Mohamed Hamieh, Ali Ahmad Hamade and Mohamed Daher. He also reiterated his call for a new different official approach with the issue of the hostage soldiers in Jouroud Ersal, being keen on the State’s dignity and emphasizing its direct responsibilities in protecting all the citizens.
