In the Name of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Praise be to God Lord of Mankind, Prayers and Peace be upon the Master of Messengers, His Family and His Companions
Respectable Audience,
Peace, Benedictions and Mercy of Allah be upon you
It is a great day and we are gathering at this honorable place to celebrate the renewable revival of Dar el Fatwa that constitutes an essential pillar of our country’s protection and the Islamic world as well, befalls us what befalls it and strengthens us what strengthens it. This event brings goodness to the Islamic union with all its aspects. In consequence, it affects the national union and we should all make the best of our efforts to protect our country and maintain the noble values represented by our society and our national and humanitarian principles that rise our faith and spiritual commitment to all that opposes to the vices and chaos we are witnessing here and there for obvious reasons.
Our standing here today at this joyful occasion brings us hope and represents the renewal of the era that the spiritual leaders always strived to prove and commit to with strong faith. This is the era of convergence upon the same speech and the era of preserving the structure in the country of convergence, coexistence and mutual environment.
Our priorities today reside in the condemnation of any speech inciting to the hatred, madness and rejection of others. We should call, as we always did, for equity and for the good word saturated by the humanitarian light. In fact, the good word contributes to the development of nations and the bad word is the path leading to their devastation.
We renew our confirmation on the basics heart by heart and hand by hand for us and for all the spiritual leaders that have maintained the main Islamic and national principles firm at the situations that were meant to build the nations not only by the politics and the call for the ranks union, but by the wise and constructive approach that warns the spirits and minds to unite for the good of the situation until this reality ameliorates. It is normal that we have on the top of these principles many calls for State’s sovereignty and for the national army and security forces support with all the will we have gained. Your Excellency Prime Minister, we refuse to paralyze your Government and we call for transforming the quiet dialogue into a path to defeat obstacles until we come to reinforce the mechanisms of the democratic regime, in particular the election of a consensual president for the Republic.
We also feel it is important to grant the issues of Islamo-Islamic relations and Islamo-Christian relations plenty of our sincere efforts in order to provide the example of the superiority of the humanitarian noble spirit over the instincts of conflict and disharmony that the enemies of truth are pushing us to, as we are witnessing today. It is a major national issue in the core of Lebanon's message to the world. Therefore, we loudly raise our voice to condemn and object to terrorism and to the rejected acts that the Christians are going through in the East, especially in Iraq since we find them totally contradicting to the indulgent spirit of Islam and to the rich civilized dimension that we should preserve and be enriched with.
Respectable audience,
Our awareness of our Islam’s spiritual character faces today huge challenges according to what we are observing nowadays of exploitation of many who are distorting the image and slogans of the religion in a way that contradicts its noble truth. The Islam that is the religion of equity, tolerance and coexistence is necessarily a religion that lifts the human from the slips of extremism, intolerance and harmful instinctive extremism to the space of light illuminated by the divine message by calling for the achievement of virtue and ethical rise. This binds us to generalize the culture of rejecting the sectarian and religious conflicts, which offends the essence of the religion’s purpose.
We highly appreciate the presence of the Mufti of Egypt and we head to the noble Al Azhar for what this historical palace represents in the reviving leadership, the enlightening vision and the equitable authentic spirit, looking forward to its leadership role in proceeding with all the initiatives aiming at achieving the union of Muslims and their convergence on Unitarianism and the good word.
Respectable audience,
We are in the shadow of a great tree that is the Islam. We are protected with you under the wings of a divine grace by His Almighty. We are the Unitarians, we are nourished by the fruits of this tree and our dignity is taken from its honor. We have gained the knowledge from the pure sources that irrigated it and our roots were tightly anchored in the land by our grandparents and ancestors who have always protected it all along history, and thus, the earth of our mountain was irrigated by the blood of our great martyrs.
As we congratulate the Muslims for the benediction they have today and we congratulate our nation and the Lebanese with moderation and calmness illuminated with the wise perception of faith, and as we congratulate his Eminence wishing him all the success and good, we engage ourselves in a mutual vision to gather, unite and rise with the noble values, good examples and good ethics by which our nation was the guidance that orders the pardon and forbids the denied, without forgetting the speech of His Almighty: {O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves} (An-Nisa 135)
He also said: {And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it} {On the day when ever person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will whish that there were a great distance between him and his evil} (True are the words of His Almighty)
We ask God His Almighty to grant us all the luck and inspire us with His Kindness to the good, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
