His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan regretted the situation that the hostage soldiers have reached at the armed groups in Jouroud Ersal. He addressed his condolences to the family of the martyr Sergeant Ali El Sayed and to the Lebanese Army Leadership, calling the Government and the concerned authorities to go deeply into the various aspects of this issue before it turns into a calamity – God Forbid.

His Eminence asked the different political leaderships to deal with the Lebanese situation with ultimate caution and awareness as required by the circumstances witnessed by the country, emphasizing the necessity of immediately electing a new president, managing to solve the security situation, fortifying the security forces ranks and the army’s capabilities and consolidating the national union before it is too late, through the activation of solidarity and the rejection of conflicts in face of the dissension storms, in order to save Lebanon at this serious period of time.

In another context, his Eminence the Sheikh called for a serious official follow up on the issue of the Imam Moussa Sader and his two companions. He also recalled in this concern all that the Imam used to call for in order to protect the country, fortify stability and maintain civil peace and coexistence.
