Praise be to God Lord of Mankind, Prayers and Peace be upon the Master of Messengers, His Family and His Companions to the Day of Recompense

My Brothers and sons,

First, I would like to salute your conference held for the ninth time, recalling in my mind the great efforts made by our sons abroad to devote this vital achievement that we should preserve and stimulate with the potential capacities to continuously achieve the best.

It is an honor for this conference sponsored this year by the Druze Association in Edmonton – Canada for having united the Druze of different countries so that they enjoy a good opportunity to meet and make acquaintances with guys and girls united by the heart and mind’s unity in order to exchange the feelings of charity, friendship and brotherhood that protect us all under their wings in the shadow of our great heritage and what is cultivated in our hearts of the noble values, eternal customs and high human qualities that make out of the Maaroufite a distinguished civilized human everywhere he goes on earth and in its countries.

I have no doubt that your conference is a sincere desire in uniting all under one roof in the shadow of the Maaroufite uniting slogan for every human significance.

The human harmony originally results from a natural motivation: the family that constitutes “the ethical pillar of the human life if it achieves its goal under the reign of wisdom”. The family is the essential core for the constitution of society. If any part was destroyed, the whole that is constituted of different parts will be corrupted.

My brothers,

The Unitarian society at its depth is based on the knowledge through which – probably – the Unitarians were called “Bani Maarouf”. In fact, knowledge is not a theory of the first degree to them, but it is a commitment to the values, principles and customs that the good ancestors have accumulated and that have become customs marking the Maaroufites no matter to what extent the winds of age storm their days. Their meeting pivots around the men of virtue, wisdom and abstention and the men of intellect, leadership and management as well as the spirit of solidarity and harmony no matter to what extent opinions differ between them. They have many regulations that are consolidated in their virtues, origin, high sense of manhood, courage, courtesy and sincerity. Our society revives through the mind from the significances that are the fruit of Unitarianism; our society is then attracted to justice with the tightest links.

I admire and appreciate your invitation to us and your communication with us. We always look forward to fortifying the relation and looking for realistic ideas that are to be achieved and contribute to developing the link in a way that serves our parents and the coming generations in any way, without forgetting the role of the immigrants with their parents and tribes at difficult periods.

My brothers,

All we need is to consolidate the basis of coordination between us and lay the edges of sharing according to what is required by the obligation from all of us. As a result for our verification, there is a huge accumulation of many issues all over many years ago, in particular the issue related to the assimilation of culture and heritage in a vital way.

The Sheikhdom Akl and the Confessional Council are at the service of the Community’s sons in their path with no discrimination unless at the knowledge and hard work levels. We are only assisted by God and all that His Almighty provides us with of the trust renewal and good intentions.

We have suggested to our sons and brothers in the United States to establish an academic research centre in the nation in order to follow all the issues with cooperation and preserve the noble Maaroufite values correctly. We support you and the ADS in Canada, as well as all of the Diaspora’s regions with all that is required from us of interest with all your affairs.

We are here for help and our hearts are open to every virtuous initiative. We strongly believe that the Maaroufite roots are anchored in the minds and spirits and all we have to do is to achieve our common rise as required by the obligations, responsibilities and conscience calls.

I recommend the fortification of the permanent negotiation and communication ways and each one of us is held liable for his words and actions and he will be judged for it before God and history.

I ask you to preserve one another and never get into conflicts since they cause nothing but fail. Look for the goodness rivers wherever you are and keep away from the badness paths.

We wish you a successful, fertile and productive conference with the seeds it cultivates in our parents’ hearts and spirits, asking God His Almighty to take us by hand toward the goodness and virtue.

I wish you all the best of health, security, stability and tranquility. God be with you with all His good intentions.
