His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan underlined in his statement at the occasion of the first of August that: “the Lebanese Army has succeeded at these serious circumstances with its national role and has protected Lebanon from dissensions, facing explosions and protecting its land, people and stability. Therefore, it deserves all the admiration and gratitude as soldiers, leadership and individuals.

His Eminence the Sheikh hoped that “the Army remains at all the stages the only guaranty for Lebanon and its borders in face of the storms that are invading the region and threatening the nation”.

His Eminence made congratulation phone calls for the same purpose to the Army Commander the General Jean Kahwaji and to the Head of Staff the Major General Walid Salman as well as to the Intelligence Director the Brigadier General Edmond Fadel.
