His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan congratulated the “labors in Lebanon and in the World on the Labors’ Day”, asserting “their essential role in the development of societies and the establishment of civilizations, as well as the importance that all the States and governments strive to provide all the labors’ rights and ensure the necessary guaranties that offer them decent living conditions”.

His Eminence called “the Parliamentary Committee charged with the study of the series of salaries and ranks project to present all that it has reached in the matter of making sure there are genuine revenues for the financing of the series, in a way that provides the employees, the labors and the teachers with their righteous claims, does not bind them with more taxes and protects the State’s economy at the same time”.

On another side, his Eminence the Sheikh regretted “the non-completion of the quorum at the session of the presidential election today” and hoped that “the parliamentary blocs and the political parties all strive for a serious discussion leading to the election of a new Republic President within the constitutional deadlines in a consensual atmosphere, and that they persevere in the attendance of the Parliament’s sessions related to the presidential due date, in a way that prevents the gap from occurring at the State’s top position and widely opens the door to the continuance of the State’s institutions and the completion of the Parliamentary elections’ due date.
