His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan stated in his declaration what follows: “The increasing Confessional violence in Tripoli as well as the repetitive targeting of the Army and the offence caused to the citizens’ security and civil peace in the city and everywhere in Lebanon make us feel in trouble, especially that the security conflicts do not cease to appear from time to time in this or that region”.  

His Eminence added: “In this regard, the first and last responsibility shall be held by all the political leaderships and by the government as well, in order to provide the necessary political and logistical support to the Army Institution so that it perfectly performs its functions and that security and tranquility reign in the country”.  

He considered that the government is in face of more than one essential due date. In fact, in addition to the security file, there is also the living file, as well as people’s daily worries about electricity, health, education and other files and the filling of administrative gaps”. 

His Eminence the Sheikh concluded: “we ask God his Almighty that the government would be able to make the best of its efforts to serve the citizens and that this would be accompanied by a serious legitimate work, hoping the good attempts that were made for the government constitution in the presidential due date would be repeated in a way that leads to the reach of a President of Republic at the specified date in order to preserve Lebanon’s Constitutional Institutions”.
