His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan emphasized in his declaration at the occasion of the civil war commemoration “the importance that the Lebanese people learn from the experiences they went through and mostly the danger of the horrible civil war which commemoration coincides today”.

His Eminence called for “the necessity of being aware of the risks surrounding the country at this serious period which circumstances are unfortunately similar to the ones preceding the war”, hoping that the heads of official and security authorities as well as the political and religious leaderships, facing this disturbing situation, strive to prevent tension, control security, reveal anyone who contravenes it, fortify the State’s institutions, mainly the army, the security forces and judicial authorities and be keen with loyalty to solve conflicts by dialogue and through democratic means solely with no other”.

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl the Sheikh Naim Hassan warned about the risk and consequences caused by some incidents and scenes such as kidnapping and killing acts as well as the security chaos we are witnessing in many regions and which reminds us of what used to happen during the war of tragedies which consequences are still manifested by its pains until this day, whether in the file of lost, injured and wounded people, or in the file of the families of victims that fell and their permanent suffering”.

His Eminence wished “in addition to the delegation of the Prime Minister Tammam Salam for the constitution of a new government by a parliamentary and national unanimity, the best of luck in the constitution of a government marked by the national agreement as soon as possible, in order to control the elections, provide stability and open their arms again to national dialogue, blocking the path against any civil peace abuser”.
