His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community the Sheikh Naim Hassan strongly condemned the continuance of clashes in Tripoli and felt sorry for the victims that fell in it, in this dangerous internal tension and along with the conflict taking place in Syria and that is being reflected on Lebanon in all ways.

His Eminence warned about the risk of not treating Tripoli’s wound in a final way, calling all the political and security leaders to take a quick and immediate initiative to put an end to the affair and prevent dragging the country to the horrible fire of fighting. The Sheikh also held the clergymen, each from his position, responsible for reducing hatred and diffusing the kind language as well as fortifying harmony in front of all the troubling and decisive challenges surrounding the country.

For this end, his Eminence made a phone call to the Prime Minister Najib Mikati and to his Eminence the Head of the Alawist Council the Sheikh Assad Assi, emphasizing the necessity of getting out from this crisis as soon as possible.
