In the Name of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Praise and Thanks be to God Lord of Mankind, Prayers and Peace be upon the Master of Messengers, His Family and His Companions, until the Day of Recompense

We stand at the Prophet’s birth date toward the significance carried by this commemoration of the obligation to acknowledge the grace of the all-powerful God his Almighty. This is because the will of God imposed that the light sets down as words of guidance and testament upon a loyal prophet who, in front of his faith and determination, the concepts of polytheism and pre-Islamic tribalism collapsed as darkness is defeated in front of the solar rays. A prophet who has cultivated in the hearts of his companions and partisans in faith, the concept of the nation that has been a good one, reigning with favor and prohibiting the unknown. A prophet who has been the entry to a civilization treated with justice by the human conscience and oppressed by the logic of the tyrannical power which every invader and oppressive claims to attack.

We certainly recall the fruits of the trust we have carried in our hearts so that we would be worth a great grace. Our eyes are about to shed tears due to the aggravation of viciousness, the intensification of guilt, the takeover of careless people under the pressure of the authority’s desires, the singularity of opinion, the abstention from the obligations of rising toward the significances of the noble Islam at its first age where all were united in one heart, one soul and one faith.

We recall on this day these significances so that we deliver our word by acquittal and that we respond to the pain that shakes inside our soul, calling God his Almighty to inspire us with the good attempt, grant us success for the good of people and make our steps firm to satisfy Him.

We ask God that justice lightens the wills of the nation’s representatives in our country so that they would be inspired for a fair national electoral law that certifies diversity and coexistence in the frame of democratic mechanisms aiming to rise above the reactions to the confessional disputes as well as the interests tighten to fit one category against the other. The Druze Unitarian Community had never carried but the national vision of a democratic and fair State. It asks to establish a senate which competences shall be determined to the important national issues since more than thirty years. Although the Taef Agreement had approved it twenty years ago, we still witness the obstacles in establishing it.

It is a shame that we lose in Lebanon the national memory that inspires the lessons and preaches out of our history, so that it puts aside all that led us in the past to the horrible fights gaps. Verily, it is a shame that we do not rise or be unable to rise up to the level of the humanitarian vision and the charity of the human to his brother.

We shake the hand of Mr. Walid Beik Jumblatt for the noble goals he is seeking to achieve as a true national responsible. Isn’t it the step expected to achieve the reconciliation in the village of Brih in the Shouf under the patronage of his Excellency the President of the Republic and his Holiness the Patriarch Rahi to accomplish the historic reconciliation that Joumblatt had anchored with the Cardinal Sfeir to strengthen the pillars of harmony between the principles, values and national traditions who have united the sons of the Jabal all through the years?

We could not but supplicate God his Almighty to inspire our leaders in Lebanon to get to a democratic and fair conclusion far away from the logic of singularity, power and annulment, and that they would be capable, by wisdom and conscience, to save Lebanon from the repercussions of the horrible incidents that are taking place and to care for people’s issues and living conditions.

We stand with a broken heart when looking at this nation’s image where blood is being shed, cities are being destroyed, sons are fighting, wills are opposing, societies’ tissues are tearing and the paths of values and ethics are deteriorating in the absence of honor and sincerity.

We strongly regret the news that are being spread about the increase of crimes and fights in Syria as well as migration and displacement of that Arabian proud people. We warn our sons at the Druze Unitarian Community in this concern, from the risk of falling into the plots through which many are seeking fights between them or between their brothers, sons of the same country. We call all the Syrians to be reasonable by prohibiting all the aspects of internal battles and facing the dissension plans. We pray that all this comes to a quick end, so that we stop the bloodshed that is hitting its people and constructions as well and give hope to its people for a democratic free and secure future. We hope they all contribute to provide and achieve the transitional vision in order to get Syria out of its calamity and rebuild it on modern bases.

Justice leads the way to the rightness and purposes of the reign, since it fortifies the governor’s power without the need for an aggressive power through the significance that gets it out from the obligation of defending the country against its tyrannical enemy toward the abysses of loss of the nation and its people and land as well. Islam is wise and merciful with a great civilized and human capacity. This leads us to say that any decline in our nation is due to our abstention from rising toward the great human and spiritual significances of the Islam. This was truly the case of the noble Arabian prophet (Prayer and Peace of God be upon him) who has faced with some of the sincere people massive burdens and has come to get over them with victory and has changed the history by the message of God and the word of Truth that could not be but for the benefit of people and humanity.

Let us be up to the level of this great commemoration. We ask God his Almighty to return it to our country and nation with joy, goodness and prosperity.
